Spotlight: Victoire

Victoire is an eclectic boutique with a vintage feel. Whether you’re looking for a cozy sweater or a Mad-Men worthy cocktail dress this little shop carries a wide array of clothes and accessories at affordable prices.

Owners, Katie & Regine, opened their first Victoire in the ByWard Market in June of 2006, and have since opened a second location in Wellington Village.  Having visited the market location and being pleasantly surprised by their surplus of Canadian merchandise, we decided to venture to the Wellington Village boutique. Despite being the smaller location, it carries the same great designers, and has incredible charm. But what impressed us the most about this shop was the lovely Erin. In fact, she was one of the reasons behind our decision to feature Victoire as our first spotlight. In a day when quality service is hard to come by, it was refreshing to find a store that still values customer service.

Here are some of our current favourites:

Suzabelle "Bacchus" emerald evening dress on sale for $103 (originally $165)

Dace "Eiffel Tower" grey dress with pockets. On sale for $120 (originally $210).

Valerie Dumaine "Noemi" black cocktail dress. On sale for $95 (originally $165).

Victoire is definitely a favourite of mine in Ottawa. I’m not not there right now but at least I can dream a little dream for when I’ll be back! I know there’s the online store too, but I’m really an in-person kind of gal…

Nice blog, look forward to keeping up with Ottawa-related fashion news. hourra!
